Please keep in mind that our wedding is on a Thursday. We suggest making travel arrangements and booking places to stay early.

There are Ubers that can bring you to Newport; however, if you plan on sightseeing while you are here, we recommend scheduling a rental car in advance.

St. Joseph's Church and Regatta Place are in the heart of Newport. If you are staying in town for a couple days we suggest you stay right in Newport or Middletown, as there are plenty of Hotel/BnB options with easy access to restaurants, bars and shopping. We recommend booking rooms early as our wedding is on a Thursday of the busy summer season. Below are a few hotel options in Newport aside from our hotel blocks in Middletown.

Renting a beach house right in Newport, Middletown or in the surrounding towns is a great option, especially for a larger group or if you want to stay in town for the weekend. Other towns we would recommend staying in Rhode Island are Narragansett, Jamestown, and Wickford. Please note, Uber and Lyft are not the most reliable in these areas.
Transportation will not be provided to the venues.
When should I RSVP by?
We kindly ask that you RSVP by May 18, 2024.
What is the dress code?
The attire is formal. Men are encouraged to wear dark suits and ties and women mid to floor length summer gowns or fancy cocktail dresses. We would not suggest wearing stilettos, as there is a wooden marina at Regatta Place.
Please keep in mind that the reception takes place on a small island! Surrounded by water, the temperature can lower at night, so don’t forget a jacket or shawl if you run cold.
Is there parking at the ceremony & reception?
Limited parking is available at St. Joseph’s Church. There are several parking lots nearby St. Joseph’s as well. Valet parking is complimentary at Regatta Place. While you can park at Regatta Place, please note that parking is limited and all vehicles must be picked up noon on Friday, July 19, 2024
What time should I arrive? Is there transportation?
We kindly ask that you arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony begins at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18 at St. Joseph’s. If you are taking an Uber, please allow time for traffic.
Cocktail hour begins at 6:00 p.m. at Regatta Place.
If you are taking an Uber, please allow time for summer traffic during this typical rush hour!
Do I have to stay in downtown Newport?
No! However, should you be staying more than a night, we encourage you to consider downtown Newport accommodations to ensure the best experience.
Are children invited?
Unless noted on your invitation, we kindly ask that our wedding be an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us!
Can I bring a guest/a plus one not noted on my invitation?
As much as we would love to include everyone, we have a strict number that our vendors have booked for.
We politely ask that you do not add guests who are not listed on the invitation to your RSVP.
